Excelente recopilatorio de tres discos de la escena británica de la música folk rock británica correspondiente al periodo comprendido entre 1967 y 1973, tiempo sin duda de una enorme creatividad por parte de solistas y grupos inmersos en el citado estilo musical, que evolucionó desde la imitación de los antiguos cancioneros de las Islas Británicas a la interpretación de viejas piezas con nuevas instrumentaciones. En ese espacio de siete año dio para que formaciones heterodoxas crearan su estilo buscando más allá de las fronteras propias, incluso yendo a las fuentes de lugares exóticos, cuando no se mezcló con el rock, jazz, blues o country.

La caja recoge también grupos que reconvirtieron melodías de antaño para darles un aire actual que con el paso del tiempo se mantienen como clásicos del estilo. Instrumentistas virtuosos, cantautores innovadores, en algunos casos de culto. Bandas y solistas, al fin, que recorren los primeros pasos del folk rock hasta su principal punto de efervescencia, de los cuales un buen número ocupa un lugar destacado en la evolución de la música popular británica.
