La reedición de Waiting For Columbus se pone a la venta en una caja de 8 discos compactos, que incluye un folleto de 24 páginas. Asimismo se va a distribuir en un conjunto de dos discos de vinilo de larga duación (LP). Todo el material incluido en las referidas entregas está emasterizado.
El doble original de Waiting For Columbus, de la banda estadounidense Little Feat, formada en Los Ángeles en 1969, se distibuyó en el febrero de 1978. El material sonoro se recogió de las actuaciones en el Rainbow Theatre de Londres y en el Lisner Audiorium de Washingston D.C. Los discos ofrecían un total de 78 minutos y 14 segundos de música distribuida en 17 piezas.
La nueva edición de super lujo se compone del álbum original remasterizado, aunque se incorporan seis discos que están relacionados con tres actuaciones en directo al completo de la gira de Little Feat en 1977. Se trata de las intervenciones en Londres y Washington DC, además de un concierto en vivo inédito grabado en el Manchester City Hall el 29 de julio de 1977. A diferencia de los otros dos conciertos, ninguna grabación del show de Manchester terminó en Waiting For Columbus, según los datos manejados por representantes de la discográfica encargada del nuevo lanzamiento.
