American Graffiti es el título de una película dirigida por George Lucas y ambientada en la Costa Oeste de Estados Unidos en el año 1962. La banda sonora de esta película, en la que aparecía un joven y aún desconocido Harrison Ford, incluye una excepcional banda sonora que ofrece diferentes estilos musicales desde el doo-woop al rock and roll, así como el soul y la surf music. Aderezada con la voz del mítico pinchadiscos Wolfman Jack, las canciones de la banda sonora de American Graffiti tienen la ventajas que durante finales de los cincuenta y comienzos de los sesenta fueron grandes éxitos entre los adolescentes de cada época.
