Actrices que cantan, cantantes que actúan

En este caso sí, antes fue el canto, que está presente en diferentes actividades humanas desde tiempos inmemoriales. Pero con la entrada del cine sonoro mediante la película The Jazz Singer, en 1927, quedó claro que séptimo arte y música se hermanaron cuando el guión lo necesitaba, vínculo que ha servido para que ambas artes se enriquezcan, se apoyen y mantengan el auge en que se encuentran desde la segunda mitad del siglo pasado, aunque, como siempre, los apocalípticos de turno anuncien el fin del cine y de la canción, óbito que, por cierto, no se atisba en estos años veinte del tercer milenio.

Una pequeña muestra de ese sincretismo antes mencionado lo componen unas cuantas actrices y cantantes de Francia que estuvieron en ambos lados. Algunas incluso salieron bastante favorecidas en la pantalla, en la grabación discográfica -en este caso de todas se incluyen discos sencillos de la década de 1960- y en la actuación en directo.
