Nuevo trabajo discográfico de Jorge Pardo: Djinn

El saxofonista Jorge Pardo ofrece un nuevo disco que viene adelantado en sus recientes y próximas actuaciones en directo. Se trata de Djinn, que se adentra en los comienzos del flamenco, sin olvidarse de la electrónica, pues, según, los representantes del músico y compositor en sus piezas "se entrecruzan estas tramas, el tiempo y el espacio, para dar lugar a una música que juega con eso mismo. Nuevos elementos gestionados con la solvencia que da tener como único compromiso la creación sincera".

El acompañamiento en su reciente grabación incluye órganos Hammond, teclados, baterías, bajos eléctricos y guitarras flamencas, además de las colaboraciones de pinchadiscos y productores de música cercana a la electrónica que trabajan con muestras de cante flamenco y poesía en la onda hip hop.

El anterior disco de Jorge Pardo lleva por título Historias de Radha Y Krishna (Fol, 2014).

El veterano guitarrista británico Jeff Beck demuestra con su más reciente grabación que no pierde la potencia y la inquietud que le caracterizan desde sus comienzos allá por la década de 1960. Sin perder fuelle, más bien con auténtica vitalidad, acorde con un aire de introspección sobre diferentes sonidos, desde rock duro a funk, pasando por blues y rock potente. Sin más aditamentos que la sección rítmica y las guitarras eléctricas, Beck aporta frescura, elegancia y lirismo, a veces dramático, otras sensual, pero siempre convincente gracias a un virtuosismo potenciado por la edad. Esa potente línea que caracteriza algunas de las mejores etapas de Jeff se percibe contundentemente en la pieza que abre el disco: The Revolution Will Be Televised, en la que también destaca la voz de Rosie Bones que sabe pasar del hard primario -caso también de Right Now- a sonidos más sofisticados como el funk que desprende en O.I.L. o el hermoso tiempo lento de Scared For The Children, atmosférica y entrañable.
