Chicago representó uno de los puntos destacados de fomento del rock and roll de la segunda mitad de la década de 1960, entre otros motivos gracias a la discográfica Dunwich Records, cuyos lanzamientos llegaban con éxito en especial al público adolescente. En ese sentido hay reseñar el primer sencillo promocional Gloria,  de The Shadows of Knight, que tuvo continuidad en otros grupos como  Del-Vetts, The Banshees, Saturday's Children o The Knaves, representativos del emergente garaje rock

Dunwich Records contó con el apoyo de otros sellos como Yuggoth Music, así como los complementos de un departamento de arte y un abundante plantel de combos rock garajero.  La discográfica se puso en marcha gracias a los aficionados al jazz: Eddie Higgins, George Badonsky y Bill Traut. En la entrega especial de los 2 LP se incluyen notas dos juegos de notas, uno de Traut y otro de Jeff Jarema.
